About Anthony Barr
Growing up in Speedway, Indiana—home to the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway—laps on a banana-seated Huffy bicycle as he pretended to be an Indy 500 driver were a common occurrence for avid cyclist Anthony Barr.
Eventually graduating from a Huffy to a carbon road bike, Anthony was opened up to a new world of adventure and diversity that deserved to be shared with the world.
A 20+ year career in the healthcare industry opened Anthony eyes to the relationship between exercise and health, namely as he witnessed the detrimental effects on the everyday lives of people suffering from Juvenile Diabetes. After realizing that many people were negatively contributing to their own health problems and knowing that cycling could help people feel better and live healthier lives, Anthony started introducing the sport cycling he so loved to friends and others who didn’t have a specific outlet for exercise.
In 2014, his passion and purpose collided and Mobile Cyclist was born.
Anthony’s curiosity and creativity led to showcasing the personal stories of fellow cyclists, the sights and sounds of places that make up the amazingly diverse cultures of cycling cities and the people who bring it to life.
